Heifers in Winter
The Duncan Ranch raises some of the finest commercial Hereford and Black Baldie cattle in the Texas Panhandle. The Duncan Ranch "home-place" in Eastern Hutchinson and Western Roberts Counties, Texas, is a traditional spring calving Cow/Calf operation primarily selling our calf crop on the commercial market in the Fall of the year. Our cattle are home raised organic stock that are hormone and antibiotic free. If you have any questions about our product, please contact us via the contact information below. |
* CATTLE FOR SALE *Duncan Ranch is proud to announce that we are now contracting individual cattle for sale for November delivery as frozen boxed beef. We are selling 500 to 550 pound black and black-baldie heifers and steers, all of our calves are grass fed and guaranteed hormone and antibiotic free. All of these calves were born and raised on the Duncan Ranch from our commercial herd of English cross cows and are out of Bradley Three Angus bulls that are bred for maximum tenderness and marbling.Meat from a freshly weaned calf is a delicacy that is widely known for both its tenderness and tastiness. The health benefits of grass fed beef are now coming to light, but the problem has been inconsistency in tenderness. By processing the calf as soon as it is weaned we overcome the tenderness issue and sell you a product that any restaurant would be proud to serve. Here's how it works: First you purchase a live calf that is still running with its mother in the herd. Your heifer will be weaned in October and transported directly to the processing plant where they will first hang and age the sides of beef, then cut the meat to your specifications. The meat will then be frozen, boxed, and shipped directly to your home. That's over three hundred pounds of beef for less than what you would pay in the store...that's right, less than what you pay in the store! |
